Born in 1944.
Graduated from the University of Goettingen (Germany) in 1976, the Faculty of Law, with a degree in Law.
Fellow of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Awards: official honours of Croatia, Poland, Romania, the Republic of Malta, Kazakhstan, Georgia.
Since 1998 till 2005 - Chancellor of Germany.
Member and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Rosneft since 2017.
Gerhard Schroeder does not hold any shares of Rosneft.
